IP International Journal of Medical Microbiology and Tropical Diseases formerly known as "International Journal of Medical Microbiology and Tropical Diseases" covers basic, clinical and advanced studies related to medical microbiology including bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, virology, parasitology, and medical entomology. Not only the scope is limited to infectious diseases but it also includes non-communicable diseases commonly occurring in the tropics. The journal welcomes articles describing research on the pathogenesis, epidemiology of infection, diagnosis and treatment, antibiotics and resistance, and immunology.
