The presence of unusual canal anatomy can be a hurdle to successful Endodontic treatment. Diagnosing the abnormal canal morphology is difficult with conventional aids and newer imaging systems are now being increasingly used. Self implanted foreign objects in the root canal are now being increasingly reported in the Endodontic literature and this can further complicate conventional endodontic treatment.
